The global email design system for eBay aims to streamline and standardize the design, development, and quality assurance processes for marketing email campaigns across seven languages. This system not only enhances efficiency, saving significant resources and costs, but also strengthens brand integrity by ensuring all components and modules adhere to the highest design standards, including accessibility and optimization for both light and dark modes.
By leveraging plug-and-play design components and modules, teams could focus on creative aspects like selecting the perfect color palette, imagery, and crafting audience-focused, compelling copy. Scalable personalization enabled tailored communication strategies that addressed individual customer needs, fostering stronger connections between eBay and its users, leading to higher engagement and conversion rates.
Developed in close collaboration with eBay's global product design team using Figma, the design system reduces development time by 30% and quality assurance time by 50%, significantly boosting operational efficiency.
Role: Motion Design, Multimedia Design
In collaboration with eBay, we created a comprehensive digital playbook (see visual below) to help teams transform fragmented experiences into modern, cohesive customer journeys. Every piece of content, from subject lines to landing pages, aligns with the CCS framework, ensuring eBay’s brand is represented consistently at every scale.
To bring this framework to life, we also developed a simple yet impactful video showcasing "before and after" scenarios that highlight eBay’s five experience principles. The CCS framework is designed to be intuitive, practical, and empowering, enabling campaign and content creators across eBay's global platform to deliver seamless and engaging customer experiences.
